You can fly to either Alicante or Murcia (aka Corvera) airports, both are approximately 45 minutes away from the apartment.
Ryanair, EasyJet, Jet2 plus others all operate several flights from most UK airports on most days throughout the year to either Alicante or Murcia, or usually both airports, so it is easy to shop around for the best deal.
Alicante airport has several transfer options available listed below are a few options. Our locally based English key holder may be able to collect you from the airport and take you directly to the apartment. If this is an option you would be interested in please contact us and we can arrange this for you if they are available. Please message us on the contact form at the bottom of this page.
Car Hire - The are several car hire companies with offices and collection within the Alicante arrivals terminal although we would recommend pre-booking to get a cheaper rate and guarantee availability. Our usual go to website is www.doyouspain.com. We would recommend selecting the full to full fuel option and airport terminal pick-up. There is also an option to select the no excess option which means that if you were to return the car with damage there would be no excess insurance to pay. Please note this option is through Do You Spain not the car hire company and the hire company will still want put an excess fee on your card of around €1200. This doesn't come off your card unless the car is returned damaged. If so then you claim the excess from Do You Spain. Alternatively you can arrange for your own excess insurance which is usually the cheapest way, we usually go through www.carhireexcess they usually charge around £30 for a 14 day hire. Please check your car thoroughly on collection and take photographs of any pre-existing damage.
Taxis - There is a large taxi rank outside the terminal and taxis are readily available. The fare should be approximately €75 - €85 each way. If you have a larger party of more than 4 people than the cheapest option is to pre-book your transfers through Manchabus who operate a minibus service from both Alicante and Murcia airports.
Busses - There is a regular bus service which runs from the airport to Torrevieja betweem 8am and 9pm which is €7 per person. There are several buses a day, the journey time is one hour. This will take you direct to the main bus station in Torrevieja from there you can catch another bus for €2 to Zenia Boulevard which is a 7 minute walk to the apartment. The taxi fare is calculated using existing perimeters of distance travelled, which makes a journey to Playa Flamenca around €40-€50 depending on the final destination. Busses - Bus services between Corvera and Playa Flamenca operate seven days a week. The timetable was planned and designed around arrivals and departures schedules, and the service is constantly monitored and adjusted in accordance with passenger numbers and changing circumstances.
The service goes via Venta de la Virgen and Dehesa de Campoamor, and also includes urbanisations en route.
Catch the 72B to Venta de la Virgen then change to the 70A, 70B or 70C to Dehesa de Campoamor, and the local hourly service will take you to Playa Flamenca.
The travel time to Playa Flamenca is about two hours 50 minutes, and the fares should be around €10. For more information visit www.interbus.es
